This image was taken 2 months ago (February 2016 - my third visit to India in 4 years)  in South India in the Palakkad District of Palapuram. It was on the sidelines of the Chinakkathoor Pooram elephant pageant. This gentleman was just resting off to the side of the festivities and with half a head waggle gave me permission to shoot his portrait. The juxtaposition of his relaxed body language against the red background and FIRE hose begged attention.
